On this page we will walk-through how to purchase units by creating the associated accounting transactions from unit inventory.
Click the Financial Tab. Chose a Floor Plan Co. and make sure there are GL account numbers in Floor Acct, Sale Acct, Inv Acct, Cost Acct, Recon Acct, Add. Costs Acct.
These accounts should fill out automatically, and the defaults can be configured in Edit > Modify > Make Model Pick List.
Enter the Purchase Price and Floor Plan Balance
Click the Accounting Transactions Tab
Click Create Accounting Transactions
This will create a debit to inventory and a credit to the floorplan.
